Write a dialogue between you and your friend about the unemployment problem and its solution.
Myself: Do you know, Sajeda, unemployment problem in our country has
shot up to its acute level in recent year? I am getting afraid.
Sajeda: Oh! That’s quite a burning issue in our country where the
educated people are willing to work but can’t find any quality jobs. It is totally
disappointing for me, too.
Myself: But what are the reasons working behind this problem?
Sajeda:
I think the huge population in our country creates the unemployment problem. If the population persist in growing up at
the same rate, the next generation will face more problems of unemployment. If
there is a job circular for only one vacant position, then 100 or 1000 candidates
apply for that position, and only one gets the job and others remain
unemployed.
Myself: exactly, and I also think that corruption and
favoritism in the government sectors and in some private sectors are also the
great reasons for unemployment. No matter how qualified you are, you won’t be
able to get a good job unless you give a bribe or show the best recommendation from
the political upper-class. Thus the qualified candidates are getting
unemployed.
Sajeda: Right you are. At the same time, under-developed
communications system; lack of education and skilled labor; and lack of
administrative fairness and accountability are also responsible for the persistence
of the unemployment problem. What would you suggest to solve this problem?
Myself: The very first solution for unemployment is to
control the rising population of our country. The government should motivate people
to have small families. However, the quality of education should be improved.
The current education system is not up to the level, and before completing
education, practical knowledge should be given to the students. Besides, our education
system is only writing based, so many of our graduates take a lot of time to remove
their speaking phobia. As a result, they look less confident at the interview
board.
Sadeja: And the government should also encourage and develop agriculture-based
industries in rural areas, so that the rural candidates don’t migrate to the
urban areas. Thus more employment can be generated in rural areas for the
seasonal unemployed people.
Myself: Great! Thank you for your kind information. I will
discuss the problem with you later.
Sajeda: Thank you as
well.
